Honeymoon’s palette became a careful blend of the client’s initial concept direction and the character of the existing site, and our own vision to push those ideas a little further.
The goal was to transition the space from a loud, energetic chicken shop into something grounding and restful. A place to enjoy a thoughtfully made matcha, meet a friend, or to take a picture of yourself in a nice space.
An exercise in restraint, restoration, and thoughtful modification — keeping the bones, shifting the feeling, and creating something entirely new.
A soft sage green became the turning point. It shifted the atmosphere instantly, recontextualizing the existing terracotta and native timber we chose to keep and giving those materials a renewed sense of purpose. Linen drapes introduce soft texture and offer a gentle visual divide from Snap Club, while the cobalt Hay Arcs pendant brings a playful pop of colour and a subtle nod to Snap Club’s identity into the matcha bar.
We reworked the original booth seating into an inward-facing banquette, opening the room and drawing guests deeper into the space. The terracotta tiles and native timber floors were restored, while light oak joinery and soft linen drapes introduced a sense of clarity, warmth and lift.
